Zinnias

Zinnias belong to a group of flowers that fall under both annual flowers and perennial flowers. Zinnias are a popular flower, usually started by seed germination. Zinnias prefer humus rich and well-drained soil. That is in full sun.

Zinnias leaves are opposite of each other and usually stalk less. The flower of a zinnia comes in many different colors and shapes. Most people will think of a zinnia as to having a dome shape with bright colors. But there are zinnias that have only a single row of petals and tend to look more like a daisy then a zinnia.

If you are looking to grow a butterfly garden, zinnias are good to have. The bright colors not only makes your yard look beautiful, it helps bring the love of butterflies to it as well.

The zinnia was discovered stretching across the southern hemisphere as a wildflower. It was found growing in Mexico, South America and in the Southwest Regions of America.
