Roses are red, violets are blue, if you give a rose to someone, it usually means I Love You. Wow that was pathetic, well hey I did get your attention; at least I hope I have. Roses, in our research are the most popular flower around. But on the other hand, they are the highest maintenance to make them grow well.
We have found out that roses literally come in every color, yes even black. ( see below ) Rose flowers also come in many different forms. You have single stem roses, ( usually used for bouquets ) rose bushes, ( usually used to fill a gap or just grow as a natural flower in a garden ), miniature roses ( usually are a bush like variety ) and the are other hybrid roses as well. This is just to name a few. Roses can create a beautiful garden if you plan well and do the work needed to have the rose grow well.
To our belief, the reason people have grown to love roses more than most other flowers, even though they are a little higher maintenance, is because of the fragrance they omit. Many like the sweet smell of a rose. The smell is liked so much that it will actually attract certain animals to your yard. One type of animal that we know, loves rose flowers is any member of the deer family. Mainly it is used as a food source. So helpful hint, if you have deer in your area. Watch your rose flowers closely. There are deterrents that are not harmful to the rose flowers or the deer that will help propel the deer.
