Rosemary

Rosemary is a woody, perennial herb that has fragrant evergreen needle like leaves. The rosemary plants are native to the Mediterranean region. Rosemary is a member of the mint family. The flowers of the rosemary plant can range from white to pink and blue to purple.

 

Rosemary is used a lot in cooking. Rosemary can be used and is used by a lot of different people for flavoring foods, especially barbeque items. Since rosemary is an attractive flower that tolerates some drought. A lot of people grow rosemary as a flower and not just as a herb. Rosemary can however die if over watered. Rosemary can be quite easy to grow for beginner gardeners. It is also pest resistant. 

 

When rosemary is grown in pots, it needs to be trimmed back every once in a while, to keep it from getting straggly and out of control. But when it is grown in a garden rosemary can grow to quite a large size bush and still be attractive.

 

If has been said that rosemary oils massaged into the scalp can help revitalize hair. Rosemary has been reported as a way to stop dandruff. Also can help stop premature baldness.
